ORFS coupling fittings
The ORFS fitting is most commonly found on American machinery and is in our opinion the safest type of connection. The ORFS fitting has an imperial UNF thread and a rubber O-ring seal on a flat surface at the end of the fitting. ORFS fittings are also used in fittings for rigid pipe connections by pre-shaping the hydraulic pipe to a 90° angle.
Using ORF fittings
These fittings are particularly suitable for use in the mining industry, at very high pressures and in leak-free hydraulic systems.
ORFS fittings have a cylindrical thread and a flexible sealing ring at the end of the fitting.
The ORFS with capscrew also has a cylindrical thread and the seal is achieved by compressing the seal ring at the end of the fitting
